Introducing the Top 18 dancing stars of Dance India Dance Season 6


Zee TV’s ultimate dance reality show, Dance India Dance Season 6 has recently begun its journey of mesmerizing audiences with itsphenomenal talent and exceptional performances. After months of grueling auditions held in every corner of the country, the show finally has its Top 18 contestants who will battle it out to showcase their dance prowess and emerge as the nation’s next dancing sensations. DID6 promises to be #AllAboutDance and under the guidance of judges - Master Marzi Pestonji, Mudassar Khan, Mini Pradhan and Grand Master Mithun Chakroborthy, the contestants will be seen putting their best foot forward in the coming weeks.
Here is a quick introduction to the top 18 Dancing stars of this season.

MITESH ROY.JPGMitesh Roy- Raipur, Chhatisgarh
Mitesh is a 22-year-old contemporary dancer from Raipur who lives with his mother. He began dancing at the age of five and aims to win Dance India Dance 6 so that he can give his mother a better, stress-free life. 

SUJAN MARPA.JPGSujan Marpa (Tamang), Nepal
A young and enthusiastic freestyle dancer, Sujan has been learning dance for the past ten years and leads a popular dance group called Allied-22 in Nepal. He wants to expand his knowledge of dance through Dance India Dance 6 and help groom aspiring dancers back home to improve the art. 

SANKET GAONKAR.JPGSanket Gaonkar- Ankola, Karnataka
22-year-old Sanket is a passionate contemporary dancer from a small town Ankola near Goa. He has been dancing since he was in the eighth grade and is all set to entertain the viewers with his bubbly personality and incredible dancing skills. 


SARANG RAI.JPGSarang Rai, Mumbai
Hailing from Aamchi Mumbai, 24-year-old hip-hop lover Sarang started dancing eight years ago. He has been a part of Shiamak Davar’s Academy and dreams of becoming a dancing superstar. DID 6 brings him the opportunity to challenge himself each day to become the best version of himself.

Piyush is from Nagpur and excels in dance forms like freestyle and hip-hop. He claims that DID 6 is  the right platform to showcase his talent and be crowned the ultimate dancing star.

Sonal Sunil Vichare, Mumbai
Sonal, a 22-year-old Marathi ‘Mulgi’ will leave the audiences in awe of her unique Lavani style mixed with ‘Wacking and Krump’. She has been dancing since she was a child and admires Dance India Dance.

SACHIN SHARMA.JPGSachin Sharma, Faridabad
 19-year-old Sachin from Faridabad is extremely committed to dancing and has been pursuing the art form for the past six years. Sachin has attended multiple dance workshops and has assisted a couple of choreographers in the past. Sachin is excited to fulfill his dream of performing on the ultimate dance platform i.e Dance India Dance 6. 

KALPITA KACHROO.JPGKalpita Kachroo, Delhi
The super-talented Delhi dancer, Kalpita has professionally learnt dance forms like Kathak (Lucknow Gharana), contemporary and jazz. Having started her dance career fifteen years ago, she has assisted the ace choreographer Ceaser Gonsalves.  She wants to be a part of Dance India Dance 6 because she believes that this platform has been instrumental in creating some of India’s biggest dancing sensations.

From Jabalpur a small town in Madhya Pradesh, Rahul has faced many difficult circumstances leading to countless ups and downs in his life. He believes that DID 6’s is a golden opportunity to showcase his skills and fulfill his dream of becoming a popular dancer.

17-year-old Shweta from Chandigarh is all set to entertain everyone with her freestyle and wacky dance moves. She dreams of putting India on the global map with her extraordinary dancing style, give a new identity to popping and locking.  

SWETHA WARRIER.JPGSwetha Warrier, Mumbai
Swetha, a young girl from Mumbai has been born and brought up in a supportive family. Her mother is a Bharatnatyam trainer and ownsdance academy named True Indian Dance Academy. She wishes to create a fusion of Bharatnatyam and Hip-Hop and looks at DID 6 as a befitting platform to transform herself into a better dancer.

Punyakar Upadhyay, Pune
Pune’s 21-year old Punyakar decided to make his career in the entertainment industry at sixteen. He believes that he is capable of achieving his dreams and believes that Dance India Dance 6 will give him the exposure he has always longed for.
Mudassar Ki Mandali

16-year-old Paramdeep from Mumbai impressed the DID masters by introducing them to a unique dancing style called Tuttemporarya combination of Tutting and Contemporary. With the support of his family he wants to come on the DID stage and make the most of it.
SHIVAM WANKHEDE.JPGShivam Wankhede- Jalgaon
Marathi ‘Mulga’ Shivam belongs to Jalgaon and is known for performing a Lavani and Bollywood fusion. By participating in Dance India Dance 6, he believes that he has finally got one chance to fulfill his dream of becoming an ace dancer.

From Haryana, 21-year-old Deepak is a committed dancer and is extremely happy to be a part of Dance India Dance 6. He believes that Dance India Dance will be a stepping stone to his dancing career.

This beautiful girl from Shillong is a passionate contemporary dancer. She started dancing at the tender age of three and draws her inspiration from DID. Daphisha wants to make her mother proud of her by being a part of Dance India Dance.
RIA CHATTERJEE.JPGRia Chatterjee, Jamshedpur
Ria from Jamshedpur is a great Kathak and contemporary dancer. She started learning dance in the twelfth grade and won Dance Jharkhand Dance. She is ready to showcase her talent and emerge as a star on Dance India Dance.
Alphons Chetty- Mumbai
Alphons is a 22-year-old dancer from Mumbai. He excels in hip-hop and freestyle. He started his career as a fitness enthusiast and wants to become a fine dancer under the guidance of Dance India Dance 6 m
